RC2014 runs CV games (including SGM & MegaCart) from stock CP/M

To make this work starting from a basic RC2014, I had to:

 

• add a TMS9918 video card
• add a SN76489 sound card
• add a controller interface
• add a AY-3-8910/YM2149F sound card (for SGM games)
• add a 3.579545 MHz oscillator as main clock
• design a RAM module with CP/M-compatible bank-switching logic up to 512KB
• modify J. B. Langston's CP/M game loader to handle MegaCart games
• hack the standard Pageable ROM module to avoid a port conflict

 

Hope this helps anyone else trying to do something similar with a RC2014 or other homebrew Z80 computer!
