Dreamstate
Hey, I wonder if anyone has seen something like this before. Basically, I have two Intellivisions and two Intellivoice units (along with two power supplies). One Intellivision works fine in any combination with the Intellivoice units. The other one runs carts without issue that I have found, but seems to be unable to properly connect with the Intellivoice units. I have cleaned and taken everything apart without any success. Most of the time, the game will start and talk then crash or will skip the starting voice, play a bit then crash. Any advice would be appreciated. 4ever2600
One weird thing about intellivisions are, if a cart or hardware device isn't sitting just right in the cart slot, things like this can happen. Games will crash or not boot and that extends to hardware software combos, intellivioice amd game, system changer and gamr. Etc. Try ever so slightly to slide hardware left or right or forwards or backwards each time turning off console, reseating and then turning on again. Hope maybe this is the issue since you already know the intellivoice is alive and well on BOTH of the other intellivision...
Dreamstate
Yeah, I have played with this but other than getting a slight boot difference, it still never works. I do have to wonder if maybe the Intellivoice uses additional pins on the cart connection that is not used on regular carts. The funny thing is, the Intellivision that has the issue looks almost new everywhere and I have not been able to see anything that does not look 100%. mr_me
Yes, there are pins on the cartridge port that are used specifically by the Intellivoice. You'd think your issue with this Intellivision has something to do with those pins.
