First Spear
OK, here is something that was just crawling in my brain. Wouldn't it be cool if the new Atari did The Astrosmash Shootoff? We all know the issues with the original competition, but if a new one required submitters to play live-streamed for n-minutes, and then the top players were flown in for more competition with big prizes, that might be fun. Maybe even expand it to something like an Intellivision Olympics, where players have to show their play across a number of games in order to play shoulder-to-shoulder on big screens? There is a timed version of Astrosmash already, maybe throw in modified ROM versions time-enabled versions of a few of these also for a true numb thumb competition (a mix of unique and iconic Inty games) Bump-n-Jump Burgertime Night Stalker B-17 Bomber Beamrider Safecracker Truckin' Sharp Shot for Rick Or since Atari owns the IP now, call it something else completely different and include a VCS category as well. Their hook-sell would be more consoles overall(?) And now it occurred to me that even without the new Atari doing it in a mega corporate way, with all of the Intellivision presence at PRGE, organizing something smaller might be fun. With real time commentary by The Intellivisionaries Podcast of course.

+Lathe26
Timed MTE-201 test cartridge. If you don't test each Intellivision fast enough, you lose (your job).
