Spanner
I thought it was about time I gave it its own thread, PCUAE on AGSP is getting there, not sure when it will be released yet but we are working on it, it now boots in AGSP and loads most of PCUAE's Modes. I made it so you can run the AGSP games inside AGSP GUI via the PCUAE USB Drive so it overmounts its SD Card with the USB Drive so the GUI thinks its the SD Card it reading, PCUAE does have a setting in it to load games from the SD Card too if you want too, I did this way because I find it awkward removing the SD Card and getting it back in(has no dip in the case so you can push against the SD Card to getting in properly so taken it out and putting it back in all the time, and ejecting it all the time could mess up it spring and then might have a problem get a SD card into the AGSP at all, so its easier to remove the PCUAE USB Drive then the SD Card, all your removing is a USB cable instead. If we could get the network working on it then you might be able to use ftp and transfer games to it that way but its getting the right modules for the network that supports it Kernel 4.4.194, PCUAE Network Mode does work on the Atari2600 Plus so you have internet access on it but it has the same kernel as THEC64, kernel 3.4.39 thats why it works, it even uses the same NAND as THEC64 Mini but that's because its made by PLAION. I hacked the game binary yesterday so I could higher the volume level of the music in the background, it was a bit low, its ffplay command is inside it so changed it from -volume 25 to -volume 35 as a test, it worked... I could now make different game binaries so you can changed the volume level of the music in the background so get to load the right game binary if pick vol - 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% so -volume 25,-volume 50, -volume 75, -volume 100. Any more info on PCUAE AGSP I post here now. Enjoy your day...

Spanner
Changed the `PCUAE-AGSP-Games-Menu` folder now so its grouped by system (Atari_7800, Atari_800XL, Intellivision) and each game is in its own folder with the same name as the game rom, it has a `Bios` folder so you can copy them to each game folder so like game folder `Donkey-Kong` for the Atari 800, I added txt files in there to help you too... I like the games organized ... The `agsp_games_database.db` now replaces the `games.db` file when PCUAE runs the GUI.
Spanner
Is there a way of changing the games is the database to NTSC/PAL...? Mr_T
PCUAE v4.4.1 Updates Thread | thec64community I got everything working by downloading the 4all edition (4GB) v4.1.1 and the 4100 update on the above link. I wrote to both SD and USB including the update. Works perfectly including running Atari 800 games (Pac-man and Donkey Kong under 5200). The documentation says it can run on just the SD, but I could not get it to work.
Mr_T
The atari800 core (cores folder) and the AGSP joystick file (racfg folder) attached may be worth upgrading. It solved the START issue on a plain SD card, and I think PCUAE operates in a near identical way. Spanner included a load of MultibootXL atr files. They operate using the keyboard to boot single stage loading games from a menu. It was possible to get quite a few games on the SSDD 90k floppy in the day. Without a keyboard this is more difficult to run on the AGSP. Does anyone remember if there was a joystick scrolling menu compatible with multibootXL? atari800_libretro.so a5200_4_3.cfg
Mr_T
MyPicoDos works on AGSP Should work in PCUAE as well. GAMESDD.ATR has 9 games on it. I think its part of my "The400Mini" project. I have also attached the software to create your own Menu disks GAMESDD.ATR DISK CREATE.zip
Mr_T
Update1: atari800_libretro.so is stored in 3 different locations on the USB stick. I had to overwrite on all of them. One done it all worked. Update2: MyPicoDos disk images do work, but fast-boot is on by default. Great quick booting when it works, but the emulator is fussier. SSSD recommended, but further testing required to confirm. Are you able to give some pointers: 1 Other than agsp and data folders + files in the pcuae_boot_for_sdcard.zip, what else MUST be on the SD card? 2 What MUST be on the USB stick to get PCUAE to boot? 3 How do you reference the USB in the GSP_Games editor? (SD card still gets referenced as /sdcard/?) 4 What do you recommend to be on SD card v USB card? Thanks Mr T / T-dog

I tried another 4.5.1 file download, ran to usb. Found the ....setup4.exe inside, & ran to sd card - hey presto. Ran up GSP_Games ver 0.6.3b and edited USB:/PCUAE-AGSP-Games-Menu/agsp_games_database.db How do I point to the USB drive for triggers. Normally its /sdcard/racfg/<filename>.cfg or /sdcard/cores/atari800_libretro.so but its not working as it is not on the sdcard.
Mr_T
In the end I put the core in the following folders of the USB : \.options\retrobin\retroarch\cores\ \.options\agsp_files\sd_card_backup\cores\ \cores\ I put the a800_4_3.cfg in the following folders of the USB : \.options\agsp_files\sd_card_backup\racfg\ \racfg\ \PCUAE-AGSP-Games-Menu\agsp_retroarch_contollers_cfg_files\ While running GSP_Games and Manage Cores I creates an Atari800 core "\sdcard\atari800_libretro.so" and made the def cfg "\sdcard\racfg\a800_4_3.cfg" Having changed the triggers for pac-man and donkey-kong, option(B)/select/start keys all worked, with C mapped to virtual keyboard. Obviously there are some drive mappings and assignments when running from USB that I don't follow yet. a800_4_3.cfg atari800_libretro.so Edited October 4 by Mr_T

Mr_T
Hi dave / gr Wizart Is it possible to change the base SD card for USB implementations such that the GSP_Games editor can be used on the SD card. So when the USB is unplugged it boots and runs games that require triggers. Currently I believe the base SD card is not implemeted for Extended DB functionality. Thanks T-dog
Spanner
I think it will be added as a option so you can enable it so it makes a Games folder on SD Card/USB Stick root so AGSP sees it so you can add trigger games inside the Games folder. I can not work on PCUAE right now, my head is somewhere else at the moment so can not work on it at the moment, lucky we have Wizard that working on it, I will be back, finding it to hard to concentrate on it at the moment. davy
Added option to settings menu to setup PCUAE to see Storage or SD Card comes up and few more fixes you need updated installer too agsp-boot-files-for-on-the-sdcard-setup-4.exe (when you want to install it) Update Here the 'PCUAE-AGSP-Games-Menu' becomes the Games folder so you can add trigger games inside it hope it works for you grtz Wizart Edited Thursday at 03:09 PM by davy
Mr_T
Hi Wizart Thanks. I have formatted the SD card and written the new sdcard-setup-4.exe.
