Ah, must be why after sharing the video to a bunch of different sources it can't manage to hit 500 likes. The numbers are skewed! 

 

I'm sure they have extra clear cases already laying around. They made a clear case for CES 2020.

If I was Atari, I'd just take the already opened returns and switch them into the clear case and mark up by 300%! You get rid of worthless stock and you get rid of the clear cases. They know that base will buy a used system in a new case at an inflated price because limited!

Just so I am sure what you are saying, are you saying anybody who would buy a clear plastic VCS 800 is "special" for doing so?

No - that was not a dig on "special", rather the old joke about anything that is listed as "rare", or "limited edition" is somehow worth a ton more.
