+atari2600land
Whilst looking through my old TV Guide issues, I found an ad mentioning a Magnavox company Store. (1982) I was just wondering if this existed any earlier, and if so did they sell Odyssey and Odyssey 2 products? Any help to quench my curiousness is appreciated.

jhd
My Grandfather owned a lot of Phillips audio equipment (as Magnavox was known in Canada). I very dimly remember going to a Phillips specialty shop with him. He died in 1983, so this would have been around 1977-1981. I was too young to be interested in video games, so I do not remember seeing an Odyssey 2, though it seems reasonable to assume that it was sold there.
99er
I remember my dad and I taking our Odyssey 2 to a Magnavox warehouse in Brookpark Ohio to get the joysticks repaired. They had a small store set up at the public entrance with game cartridges hanging off of hooks. It wasn't anything fancy, but I was amazed at all of the carts, especially at a time when we were going to Best Products or Children's Palace where carts always seemed to be out of stock. I wonder if this is the company store that was in the ad?
cuda_man
There was a factory store in Greeneville, TN, where Magnavox/North American Philips/Philips Consumer Electronics had a TV manufacturing factory.
