I orginally had the Atari ST version BTW.

Yeah, I just read that the other day about the Switch version being the Amiga game, would be nice if the Steam version gave you the choice to play any of the EPYX released versions. Same here, Atari ST was my mine too! I loved it, even with it's slow clunkiness.

I did pick it up this weekend but haven't had a chance to really play it.  While playing, it has moody recorded background effects going on. I found it a bit jarring to hear these recorded real sounds and then seeing and interacting with the Amiga style graphics.

 

Control in the game is straightforward until you have to interact with the inventory.  Items are in an alphabetic bulleted list. You use the left stick in conjuction with a trigger to call up a wheel with letters. You rotate the stick to highlight the letter of them item you want and press A. 

 

Game play is as I remember: meander around collecting treasure and moving further down into the depths.  You kill monsters by walking I to them.

 

I'll post more as I played more.
