8BitsNoneTheRicher
Hi all, The SX-64 had been on my wish list for some time and I recently acquired one. It has a few "issues," one of which is that the keyboard had problems like many of them do. I replaced the keyboard membrane and all is well except that two of the keys are missing their tiny springs. I've been lurking on eBay for a few weeks hoping someone would be selling keyboard parts but that hasn't happened yet. I also need a couple of other doodads like the round caps for the handle. I see 3D printed ones on eBay but they don't seem to be quite the right color. Do any of you happen to have an SX-64 you're parting out? I'd gladly pay for a couple of key springs if you happen to have one. Alternately, if anyone knows of another source, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks so much! 8BitsNoneTheRicher
Believe it or not, they’re available from a bunch of sources including Amazon! Cost me a whopping $29.

8BitsNoneTheRicher
Fantastic! Be sure to watch a couple of videos on how to swap that membrane. The old one needs to be removed very carefully. Also you’ll have to remove EVERY KEY from the mounting plate, which is time consuming and a bit fiddly…and don’t lose the tiny key springs. Ask me how I know. 😬🙄
