Sprite Multiplexing

Can Batari BASIC display multiple sprites on different scanlines so we can display more than two sprites on screen? Example: Would it be possible to do what David Crane did in Pitfall using a sprite to create the branches of the trees?

Thanks for the info. DPC+ looks like it will do what I wanted to do but is it true I can’t make a cart with the code? Too bad.

I think he was talking about making your own at home with a gas mask, some solder, and high explosives or something. Unless something has changed, you can have AtariAge do it for you and that includes DPC+ games:

May as well give 'em all the possibilities and explain the disadvantages and advantages.  If we just suggested DPC+ (and it doesn't suit their needs) they might give up thinking that's the only option.
