genfuyung
Just wondering if there's a better way to get one than from just random eBay sellers?
+Karl G
Well, I got mine modded by @-^CrossBow^-, and I definitely have no regrets. 🙂 He's a busy guy though, so I don't know if he's taking on new work at the moment.
+sramirez2008
Same as @Karl G, mine was modded by @-^CrossBow^-. Excellent Customer Service!
Tempest
@-^CrossBow^- is the man when it comes to modding 7800s. He did mine and it turned out great. I have a composite modded 7800 for sale/trade, but it's not RGB.
envytomdead2
I can also vouch for @-^CrossBow^-. He did my 7800 and installed a bennvenn on my game gear. Extremely happy with his work.
Dire 51
I too will vouch for @-^CrossBow^-. He's done plenty of work on my 7800, all quality. I'd say it qualifies as "better than new" now.
+-^CrossBow^-
I really appreciate the shout outs so thank you! That said I think the op @genfuyung is more looking for some online store or seller that offers upgraded consoles vs sending one to have upgraded? I can understand why that is preferred by some folks as they don't have to deal with shipping anything out or having to wait for the work to be done. It is much easier and convenient to just purchase one that someone has already done the work on and just have to pay for shipping once and get the system quicker. That said, in looking at the pricing being asked for some of the predone consoles on Ebay, I think folks might be surprised at how much they could save having one sent in to be serviced vs buying one. Have you thought about buying a couple yourself to mod and offer for sale yourself, perchance? The other issue with buying pre-modded ones isn't just price, but not knowing the quality of the work that went into doing the mod.

Yeah the prices on premodded is pretty nuts and you don't even know if the person that did it did a good job.

I've had many suggest I do that, but I reserve my time and services for the enthusiast and I'm not really interested in being a reseller. I have sold a few extra consoles here and there I had over the years when I no longer need them that had services done, but it isn't something I do regularly and no real plans to do so. I only have time outside my normal day job to offer my services, so I honestly don't have time to just work on stuff specifically to sell when I have consoles coming in from folks on a pretty regular basis to take care of first.
