ftovar
Good day everyone. Does anyone have this same model disk drive for the Atari ST? I bought it off eBay because my modified SF354 (Epson SMD 380) stopped reading, writing and formatting. I did not realize that the power supply needs a male connector. I saw someone post this same looking model on EXXOS but I can't register on that one. I noticed that the power connection looks smaller than mine as he did not post the back side of his model. My question to anyone will this Amazon one work or will the one from BEST Electronics work? It is a TEAC FD-235F Thank you

A 12V one will kill the drive. 4 pin DIN is an unusual connector these days so it may pay you to change the socket for a more standard one or bypass it completely. djglish
I have a Golden Image drive case that I took the drive out of for a different project. I'm pretty sure that the power supply that I have downstairs is the one for the drive. It has the same 4 pin configuration as on yours. The power supply has both 5v and 12v inputs. Not sure if the 12v is required for the circuit board or maybe for what looks like a digital display on the front of yours. Mine doesn't have that on the front (a more slimline case). I could see how much it would be to ship to the LA area.
ftovar
Thank you djglish! I also forgot to upload this picture. This is the power supply that comes with another version of the ST Golden Image but the connection is the same. The AC adapter is what came with this one. https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/golden-image-atari-st-1-external-3899689677 May I PM you my address and what the total cost and I will gladly pay if it is the same. Thanks again

Thanks again Apparently there are three versions two with this same connection and the 3rd from the Exxos website is a smaller barrel connection all 5volt. Forrest
With the drive case open, I would use a multimeter to confirm pin 4 on the power connector is unconnected.
