genfuyung
I remember the lto being the only option years ago and even then you couldn't buy the thing. Was a flash cart ever released for this system that's actually able to be purchased?
Sinjinhawke
You could try looking at these. I think Backbit maybe readily available. I cannot vouch for any as I only have an LTO. But for Homebrews you'll need them in ROM format.
aotta
RTO and PiRTO are previous carts of the family, the latest is this: But it's a DIY cart, not for sale on official site. Edited August 7 by aotta

Incredible.

However, if you have a game that uses ECS-style (aka Mattel-style) bank-switching, you will need the BIN+CFG files for the homebrew and convert them to an ECS using the bin2ecs tool. You can download the tool from here: https://github.com/evietron/BackBit-Convert Only some homebrews require this (if the homebrew is >48KB, it likely needs this tool). Of the original 125 games, only World Series Major League Baseball requires this tool.

Are there any code advantages or functionally is it the same? I actually like the original PiRTO design as having a SD card makes it nice, and at least here in the US there isn't much problem getting Pico Pis, they are $5 each, ship fast and cheap, The purples I have to order internationally, pay extra shipping and wait, even though they are about $2.20 .each. aotta
@EdgeFaction no, from a technical point of view, there's no differences in functionality from PiRTO and Pirto II, i prefer the onboard flash to an additional sdcard, but i can understand why you'd like stay on pirto
genfuyung
How do you deal with not having controller overlays when using a flashcart? That didn't occur to me at first.

You can get overlays on eBay. You can find them on the internet and have it displayed on your phone or print it out for ease of viewing while you play. For the games that you start to play often, you should start to memorize it.
