tinyBuild (Atari owns 7.9%) announces Kingmakers game is getting a live action Hollywood movie as well...

I just realized something that some may not get and is barely related

There was a popular indie game from 2014 called Yandere Simulator, it was set to release in 2019 but its been in development hell by the rather infamous developer of the game, this developer i believe once got assistance from tinybuild around the peak of the games hype or such, but as far as i know it was temporary and never finished.

As far as i can tell that indie game is still not finished yet, so tinybuild could a movie adaptation of their video game before ex tinybuild assisted game Yandere Simulator even finishes development on the first or second boss :D

Weird internet tea aside this seems really cool! I could see this being a decent film!

tinyBuild stopped being involved with that game in 2017.

Thankfully- because the maker of that game did this-

Grooming allegations against Alex Mahan

In September 2023, allegations were brought against Mahan by a 16-year-old girl claiming that he had been grooming her and released several recordings and transcripts of his actions.[22] After the evidence surfaced several of the game's developers and voice actors, including Ayano's voice actress Michaela Laws, left the project.[10] Mahan later confirmed that "inappropriate" conversations had occurred

Yandev? Yandere Simulator? Those are words I never expected to see here. Now that’s a game reeking of wasted potental. If he had fraction of skill and passion of the likes of ConcernedApe or Scott Cawthorn, he would have finished the game within four or five years. Now he’s just a fraud and a hack.

yeah idk why seeing tinybuild again in this context reminded me of that whole debacle

also when i remember it was popular it was mainly due to it being like some indev stealth sandbox with a funny concept, that phase basically ended when he got all the professional help someone could ask for, and yet he's still not done, i also find it funny how my dude said it was "too technical for the vita or 3ds" when i feel like if it was coded properly it could run on an OG Xbox or something...

bruh

oh my god this was WAY after the original controversy around like 2020...

thats fucked...

i thought being kinda weird about wanting to have multiple switches for one game was odd, but thats just ordinary compared to that...

yet my dude said if you provide free suggestions like art and it looks like one done by a child that you should NOT EMAIL HIM, but if you're skilled and such, please send him shit for free...

cw i think you might be able to guess what my joke will be based on the above warning in the quote:

Spoiler

its a bit funny when the guy wont take kids drawings but will take the kids....

anyways i apologize for kinda making everybody even more aware of an awful person

legit thought it all ended in 2020 when people stopped caring about his whole " inability to produce a game " thing, who knew it got worse

google some eyebleach for your sake and lets go back to the prospect of this movie.

I remember hearing about Yandere Simulator a loooong time ago, can't believe it's still a thing. Well, maybe I can. Maybe they're in a competition with Star Citizen to see which game can remain vaporware the longest.

At least Star Citizen has an end goal, pro programmers, and something like a vision. However, the concept might too big, too ambitious too make it a fun game. Yandere Simulator supposedly be far more easier to pull off but making a Hitman clone with Persona social mechanics seems a bit beyond Alex’s skill to pull off. It doesn’t exactly help he packs the game with pointless Easter eggs and calls it a day.
