Thinking of doing a game

I've always wanted to do a game and this is what I came up with.

 

And I know Dig Dug is already out but I was thinking a new enhanced version..

How about Mappy?  I always liked that one.

I always thought Elevator Action and Kung Fu Master would port well to the Intellivision.

 

1942 or Exerion could be a good choice. A little more optimistic would be Gyruss, but I reckon it would play quite well with the disc control and an autofire option.

Opcode is already releasing Exerion, and there's Deep Zone Gorf that is quite similar to Gyruss.

 

While ports are fine, please also consider your own twists to existing games, combine elements that can make your game stand out. In the world of digging games, I'm sure there are a lot of mechanics to investigate.

I don't recall exactly if the final ROM was released freely, but the game was eventually published in cartridge+box format.  It may be that the last available ROM in that thread is not the final game.
