So everyone else here that has Double Dragon for the 7800 works fine on the 2600+? I just get "loading game" for a while and then a black screen. On my real 7800 it goes right to the title screen (ie no Atari splash screen).

PAL version fails on my latest release after title screen...

It used to work!

On the dumper 1.1.0.2 it did work.

On dumpers x01 and above it fails.

Hi,

 

I received two newly released PAL 7800 games today - Berzerk and Asteroids Deluxe (the new editions from Atari). Berzerk works fine, but Asteroids will not load on my 2600+. After a few seconds of ”Loading game…” the screen turns completely black. I use the latest dumper and firmware (from the thread above).

 

Anyone else have the same issue?

Wow, Swedish retailers are sending the items before the release date 👍 Sadly in The Netherlands the companies have not send out the games and consoles yet. When i receive my copy of Asteroids Deluxe I will test it and let you know.

Don't tell anyone but I heard a rumor new firmware will be released later today. Should clear up your issue.

  - Double Dragon: (ntsc  not reading, pal read correctly)

 

Not working:

  - Possible Mission  (Hack)

Asteroids Deluxe NTSC (new release) and PAL (AA release) work on the 7800+ and my 2600+ (it works for quite some releases now🤔).

That’s a bit worrying. Hopefully there is something special with the new PAL release that prevents it from working with r6. 🤞

Either wait, or post a printout from the debug load, so @raz0red could have a look. Maybe the new  release of PAL Asteriods Deluxe 7800 has got another md5 hash than the AA version.

I once (a year ago?) had the issue that it did not start as PAL and provided the md5 hash🤔

 

Exactly in the moment when it should start, try to press A+B+down on your pad to force PAL, as a test.

 

Refering to Ben, maybe it is known and will work on next load anyway🤔

Space Duel 7800 and Asteroids Deluxe 7800 not working on 2600+ (1.1x-r6)

Not a happy Atarian today.  First my 7800+ due for delivery by 10pm today from Amazon UK gets pushed back to December 21st, and then these two carts aren't working.

I assume these are PAL? If so, that is likely the issue. 

 

You can update to 2.0.1.1 (in the Beta firmware thread), or force PAL mode with the button combo.

(Down + buttons 1 and 2, all held for approximately 4 seconds immediately when game displays).

Can confirm on 2.0 firmware Byte Before Christmas works now, and Juno First music timing is right now even after long play sessions.

 

Galagon is still a no-go.  Sadface.

Thanks! Both the button combination and the new firmware did the trick (although the controls were a bit off before the update).

Which Rampage? 2600? 7800? NTSC? I'll try mine also. 

Confirmed DD NTSC 7800 isn't working with me either.

I have tried my 2600 and 7800 Rampage carts (both NTSC) and they are working with the 11/29 firmware/loader. I have a white label 7800 Rampage and a black label 2600 Rampage if it means anything

My copy of Possible Mission still crashes after the title screen.  Updated dumper to .04 and system to 2.0.1.

I get Rampage 7800 (NTSC [it have no PAL port as far as I know) to work from Dragonfly.

 

I get Double Dragon 7800 NTSC to run from Dragonfly.

 

I get Possible Mission (7800) Hack (at least one, havent tested all (color variations) to run from Dragonfly.
