Are manuals included with the games? Also wondering if they are included with the multi carts?

A quick check of their webite says yes...https://atari.com/products/asteroids-deluxe-7800-atari

I've had a final form 7800+ prototype with final PCBs and near final software in the hand for only a couple of days where I checked cart compatibility as well as both CX40+s, both CX78+s, and the paddles - they imo are better, less jitter and smoother movement. I checked the paddles then on a test program and the resolution was measuring in much smaller increments then on the 2600. So I was happy. Although I need more time and feedback from others that I sent prototypes to for them to test.

Dumper and mainboard firmware were the latest from Raz0red.

I haven't got any video keypads, driving controllers, trackballs here at home but I assume they just will work or will do in the shipped software. I'll confirm as soon as I know more.

Do you want to borrow my Video Touch Pad?  You're in the UK too, aren't you?

Oh Yeah! So do we now have a Pause feature on the 7800+?

There's a pause button.  I'm sure it works, because with updated firmware there is already Pause for 7800 games on 2600+ via the TV Type switch.

It does seem that Atari is marketing both machines under the banner of Atari + Platform.

So perhaps an Atari + Platform forum that is actually the 2600 Plus forum renamed, so all current content is in there and all new 2600/7800 Plus topics join it in one place. An option anyway.

Although for new people looking for information I'm not sure how recognizable "Atari+" branding is ever going to be to help them find the right place, but it just seems these consoles are going to overlap so much in features and owners there should just be a common place to discuss news and info.

Atari + Platform' is on every new games box and seemingly the marketing material too.

Yeah of course it works on a OG

Caveat! That is an assumption though, I haven't actually tried it myself.

I did test the USB dongle in my PC, plugged it in and it was instantly recognised by windows, the CX78+w played retro games on my PC sweet.

Curious if there will CX78+ CX40+ compatibility with the 400 mini or VCS800
