PeteW
I am trying to transfer a .dsk file from a PC to a TI994a through RS232. I am unable to do it from the information I have gathered from the internet. It seems you need a RS232 card with a HDX conversion. Is there anyway of doing this transfer without a RS232 HDX conversion, and with a plain RS232 card? HOME AUTOMATION
Downloaders See below instructions This is how I did it first-time-around ...Back in the late 90s.
HOME AUTOMATION
This is easier, but your PC's disk controller needs to support MFM, for 320K disks, and even older FM, for 90K disks.
atrax27407
PC-TRANSFER works very nicely if you have a 3.5" disk drive attached to your PC and a 3.5" drive on the TI with a DSDD controller (i.e., CorComp, BWG, etc.) Edited August 23 by atrax27407
+arcadeshopper
you can send all the files with HDX but without the DSR mod you can't send the disk there's a great write up on hdx with a stock card or nanopeb in the FAQ
F.G. Kaal
Download: Dsk2Pc - Copy disk image to and from PC - Version 2.1 here: https://hexbus.com/ti99geek/Projects/dsk2pc/dsk2pc.html All programs for the different configurations (modified RS232 card, unmodified RS232 card, nanoPeb, CF7+) are in this download. The program you need for what you want to do is this: "NpDsk2Pc is the nanoPeb version of Dsk2Pc but can also be used on a TI99/4A or Geneve with standard RS232 card". And on the PC side you need the HDX server program: Download: Ti99Hdx Server - Version 11.3a here: https://hexbus.com/ti99geek/Projects/ti99hdx/ti99hdx_server.html You only need to organize a cable from TI side RS232 DB25 to PC side RS232 DB9. See also the help file of the server program or the website. NpDsk2Pc uses RS232/1 !! (because the nanoPeb only has 1 serial port). Edited August 24 by F.G.
