IndyJones1023
What is the largest disk image size that can be made (using Steem) that would work in a Goex? I make slideshows and would like to utilize something larger than the standard 720KB disk image size to squeeze more pix onto a disk. I tried a custom size but it didn't work. Any tips or tricks? TGB1718
Max size I've used are some custom images I made of disks in my collection, I think the largest was 820K which was possibly a 10 sector 82 track disk (my old floppy drives could got to track 82, some won't )
IndyJones1023
That works! I was able to squeeze 24 pix into the slideshow. Thanks!
JamesWD
yeh 10 sector 82 track was the 'safest' max, all my own disks were formatted that way 35 years ago and still work in various drives, also alot of menu disks had extra space squeezed out of it so you will find these disks have custom formats too. I tried 11 sectors a few times and seemed ok so you can try that but I wouldn't go beyond 82 tracks as some drives have a physical limits beyond that. leech
I might be a little fuzzy on this, as it's been a while, but I think 14mb sort of worked on my GoEx as I was attempting to get some stuff working on my 1040STe or Falcon. https://github.com/phjanderson/flashfloppy-atari-disks
