Some time ago there was on eBay a red colored marlboro Lynx with the game Marboro Go! So I think it was a marketing gadget/gift from Marlboro and not a game to be sold. Anybody with the full story on this? Robert

Certainly this wouldn't have been a game that anyone was going to release. It's very simple, and probably didn't take a huge amount of work. It very much has the flavor of the type of game you'd write for marketing purposes. I could see this as perhaps being used at a trade show to promote Marlboro, or it could have been for some other type of marketing as you said. I wasn't aware of the auction on eBay. I'd love to get pictures of the "Marlboro Lynx", would make a nice addition to our Lynx section (and it's an interesting piece of Lynx history). I don't suppose anyone savied a picture. ..Al

Looks like all the premiums and promos and merchandise they customers with may be eliminated totally. Could we really have a nearly smoke-free society in 10 years? No, because the government couldn't afford the massive losses in revenue if people actually gave up smoking in huge numbers. That is why they won't ban it. The government gets far more out of a pack of cigarettes than "Big Tobacco": The Cigarette Tax Bite It's the only way they can tax the poor. I'd like to hear the story to the fullest.
