netrogames
This eBay auction had no controllers. I thought that was kind of cool because I could use my flashback controllers along with these flashback adapters I got from 8bitwidgets.com to play The Flashback Controllers on an intellivision 2. Does Sears have the exact same layout as the intellivision 2 9 pin? I noticed some weird behavior In ladybug it would not let me go beyond the title screen despite pressing all the number buttons. In Astro Smash pushing the disc made it go into a game where the game started but I can't move anywhere. Also 0 fires, and the clear button teleports. That was when I tried it with the flashback controllers plugged into the 8-bit widget device. I thought maybe it was modified to be flashback modded so I tried the flashback plugs directly. As it turned out those didn't work either. My only thought was that if it was made to be a logical controller, someone modded it to work with some other kind of controller that was DB9 either Atari or Odyssey or Astrocade or Genesis. I could try three of the four of them and see if those work. But other than that I can't explain the behavior of the controls that I had before that were working perfectly fine on an intellivision one, and flashback mods purchased when the Flashbacks were out, but have strange behavior in this new Sears Intellivision. I'm seeing if the previous owner was a previous owner or whether he just got something that was in trade and never tested. He said tested but it's guaranteed. I'll see what the eBay seller says tomorrow if he had a history with it or not. Otherwise what could explain that? By the way this is the flashback adapter I bought from 8-bit widgets and I don't know whether the 8-bit widgets device doesn't work or whether the console I got was modded or not. netrogames
Hey as it turned out the guy at 8-bit widgets did what I suggested originally and make a reverse intellivision flashback adapter but not label it as such. To get it back to an original flashback adapter I just needed to buy a DB9 double male and a DB9 double female. That console was unmodded and it was all my fault and I solved my own problem in a way that was very cheap and happy for all parties. As a favor to 8-bit widgets I was going to mail The proprietor my two INTV FB to INTV1 adapters so he could make externalizer adapters for INTV1s and INTV3s
