My cousin (who owned it last) said it "may" be from him plugging the power supply into the headphone jak but with batteries or power supply nothing i opened it up and everything looked o.k. anyone know what to do? can anyone fix these? ps its a lynx II if that helps Any help will be GREATLY apreciated thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
zanza Posted March 31, 2002 Share Posted March 31, 2002 Perhaps try to locate Q12 transistor (it seems to be the voltage regulator.. located just beside the only round coil. I f you short quickly the middle leg with the left or right it should power up by itself......but do it quickly and don't short it too long as you put to much power in the whole board. So when bothe contacting it should light the screen . If yes that should be this Q12 which is broken....I came to this conclusion with mine but hAven't taken time to desolder it and find a replacement Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
