Dire 51
Saw this earlier: https://x.com/realMonsterBath/status/1840142094758785523 Needless to say, as the Splatterhouse guy, I immediately got into contact with the dev. He's working on it as I type this. Since the chances of this being officially licensed are pretty much nil, it'll likely end up as a free download. More updates as events warrant! 4
SlidellMan
This looks promising and having the original on the Genesis just makes the trilogy feel complete.
Tanooki
Oh my yes... Aggravating it never hit the Genesis given the two others did. I'll add this to my short list of ports I'd play with SOTN and Metal Slug.
Yakumo1975
Looking forward to this. I'll probably get a ROM cart made of it just to complete my Physical Mega Drive Splatter House collection
Atariboy
I wonder if it will get finished or go down the path of other projects like Sunset Riders. Looks great though.

Tanooki
I had no idea it was dead either. Didn't we have a homebrew thread going of upcoming active/inactive ports/new game content for this system? I forget the name but I guess it fell off the first page maybe? It would be a nice thing in here (and snes, nes, handheld, etc) threads to have a stickied post or something that grabs all these projects to allow people to keep tabs on them and discuss the stuff at a higher level, still leaving it open for a sub-thread for lower level more detailed stuff.
Atariboy
I'm not sure if it's dead. But Pyron starts projects pretty regularly, impresses such as with an accurate rendition of the opening level, and seems to get distracted by the next thing that he'd love to work on. There's of course no harm with that. He's not working for you or I, for example. Nor does the silence in public necessarily mean that said projects are dead and buried, either. But he's had a lot of cool projects that have been announced only to go quiet when the latest one gets shown off. So I'd caution against getting too excited just yet. Just enjoy what he shows the world and if it ever progresses into a full fledged homebrew port of Splatterhouse, even better. Atariboy
Looks like Pyron is just assisting with technical advice and such. My mistake since I thought that he was the one solely behind this. Everyone can pretty much ignore what I said with my earlier post since it now doesn't apply.

People are fickle.
