lgallair
I bought an Osborne 1 computer and with it came a Gotek floppy drive. I downloaded some disk images in the format HFE and copied them onto a USB formatted to FAT32. I can now turn on the Osborne and boot from a System disk image off the Gotek. My question to you is, how do people make these HFE disk images? I downloaded HxC Floppy Emulator software but I cannot browse the contents of any of the HFE files. They appear to load fine in the software but the Disk Browser button returns an error regardless of what File System Type I choose. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Am I not using the software properly? I would like to create my own HFE disk images with some Basic games but cannot figure it out. HELP!!! eightbit
What firmware is on the Gotek? Is it FlashFloppy or HXC? I use FlashFloppy firmware on all of my computers. Then I can use the standard .IMG/.IMA images. I create my own all of the time using WinImage and I can open them, add files, edit them, etc. Edited October 7 by eightbit
