guitarmas
Hey guys, I bought a PS4 Pro CIB some time ago. I bought it especially to play Doom Eternal. The game was good but the controls were very difficult to be accurate with shots. I can only assume that the controls are exponentially better using a mouse on a PC. So I've got this pretty good system. It's CIB and most of the original packaging is with it. The picture doesn't show the packaging stuff but it's there. I played Uncharted and that was a really good game. It also included a few other games. I don't want to get sucked down the rabbit hole of first-person-shooters. I think they're great and all but there's just so many of them. What do you guys suggest? Edited October 4 by guitarmas Wrong wording. Punctuation error. Razzie.P
You asking for game suggestions or suggestions on how to not get sucked down a rabbit hole of shooters? For game suggestions, well good news! That thing has a great library, although you'll see a lot of "meh, everything sucks" type of mentality around it -- but easiest to scroll through a list of "best of" and pick something that seems to appeal to your tastes and current mood -- https://www.metacritic.com/browse/game/ps4/all/all-time/metascore/?releaseYearMin=1958&releaseYearMax=2024&platform=ps4&page=1 I scrolled thought the first few pages and just amazed by how awesome that library is, to me.
Austin
Yeah, I'm confused as to what the question is. Should you buy more games for it? Should you sell it? I have no idea. What do YOU want to do?
guitarmas
Should I sell it? Are there any games that beat the usual first-person-shooter experience?
doctorclu
I love the PS4 mostly as a blueray, DVD, and streaming player. Play lots of retro titles on the PS4 (Sega Genesis pack, the Atari 50th collection, other retro arcade titles like Time Pilot, Moon Patrol.) Bought it when the new Bubsy games came out in 2017 and 2019. Love those games but they are fairly simple games in modern comparison. My advise, check out the Playstation store and just check out all the games and their previews.

There are tons of non-FPS games. Only you know your tastes. Go look up a list of titles for the system and pull up some YouTube videos and figure out if something looks appealing to you. newtmonkey
These are some very bizarre questions to ask, but I'll try my best to reply: 1. I don't want to get sucked down the rabbit hole of first-person-shooters. What do you guys suggest? I suggest not getting sucked down the rabbit hole of first-person-shooters, if that's what you want to do. 2. Should I sell it? Seems drastic just to avoid the rabbit hole of first-person-shooters, but sure, why not? Probably safest to just sell everything, so that you can be absolutely sure that you are not sucked down any rabbit holes. 3. Are there any games that beat the usual first-person-shooter experience? Yes, but they would probably be first-person-shooters, so there would be a very real danger of being sucked down rabbit holes. Proceed with caution.
guitarmas
I can see how the questions may seem bizarre, but I prefer the term abstract. I guess when it comes down it, I'm just looking for great games to play. I know there are a lot of first-person-shooters. I don't want to have to fish through them to get a good experience. I prefer to get opinions of actual gamers and not redundant sites with scores and rankings. Edited October 11 by guitarmas Added txt.
