walter_J64bit Posted October 24 Share Posted October 24 I've just cloned my Hard drive from 256GB to 1TB I want to extend the partitions I have on the 1TB hard drive to use the unused hard drive space. Any one knows a free program I can use? I'm running Windows 10 64bit. I don't know if it's going to help but I have a dual boot set up on this drive with Windows 10 and Windows 11. You might try the built in utility in Windows control panel: System and Security-->Administrative Tools-->Create and format hard disk partitions When you right click on the desired partition, are there options to shrink or extend? Otherwise, I know of another tool called Disk Genius. Stephen Moss Posted October 25 Share Posted October 25 It has been a while since I have done that but as @RodLightning mentioned you should be able to do it with the built in Windows Disk Manager tool provided you have an administrator account or can otherwise run it as Administrator as I think only Adminstators can change/rename partitions and drives.
