Look for "Possible Mission".

This store sells it: https://www.gooddealgames.com/inventory/Atari 7800.html

But, it says they are Sold Out right now.

I own this version. Works great on a real 7800. It still crashes at the title screen on the 2600+, even with the latest updates.

Not my experience with the game.  I have Possible Mission and it has run perfectly going back to the first firmware update through to the latest.

However, my copy is not from Good Deal Games.

Please install the latest debug Firmware (1.1x-r6) and ensure the Dumper is also on the latest (x.03) version, capture the MD5 data, and post the information to the compatibility thread.

I had uploaded it back in September after I updated with the latest dumper and firmware. I took this one today.  My 2600+ is completely updated.

FWIW, my copy of Possible Mission is from Good Deal Games and it works fine with the latest updates. IIRC, it has always worked. I believe I shared a screenshot of it when the threads first started, but I could be mistaken.

Most of their stock is sold out including Possible Mission.

I'm assume they'll restock at some point?

Indeed.  From @Thran screenshot, the ROM size and type is incorrect.

@Trebor @sramirez2008 Mine is definitely not the same.  It hard locks the 2600+ after the title screen.  Sometimes it plays a sound.

Hmm. The labels are different between our carts but more importantly, as @Treborstated, the MD5 hash is different too. There probably is a difference in boards as well.

@Thran, sorry you’re experiencing this issue.

It's a long shot, and you may have done this already, but is probably worth another go, try thoroughly cleaning the cartridge contacts.

Some Isopropyl Alcohol, 91% or greater, with a cotton swap. Clean up and down, instead of side to side.

If the MD5 changes, and it still does not work, you may be heading in the right direction though, and try cleaning (even) more.

I just scrubbed it again with my trusty John Riggs' one up card a healthy dose of BW-100 (contact cleaner) followed up with regular alcohol on a cotton swab.  No difference.

If curious, @sramirez2008 the "Possible Version" you have is the one labeled "Impossible Mission (Blue Graphics Hack) (20160905) (E1B7ACA7)" in the Trebor PROPack.  I noticed your cartridge in-game graphics showcased the C64 looking protagonist, and ran an MD5 checker against the various hack (non-header) binary files, until I came across the one in your screenshot.

I'm going to have to (re)install the debugger version to find out which "NTSC Fix" version I have.  Mine definitely contains the original game graphics, and for the original graphics, there are at least three possible 'fixed' ROMs out there.

I just tried with the 2.0.1.1 firmware and dumper x.04.  Still locks up after title screen.  I even pulled out the original 7800 to test the cart.  Not sure what the original version was used for this cartridge, but it appears to be the same as sramirez's.

It is probably still not reading the cart correctly/dumping it properly.  Can you please run the debug version and post the details?

Last time you posted that information...

...both the cart size and type was incorrectly being determined from it, per what is expected for the game.
