vanman
Can you watch movies on a 3do generation 2 without an adapter?
vanman
Anyone know?
Mindfield
No. You need the MPEG cartridge as I recall, and then you can only play VCDs (obviously, since DVD was barely a twinkle in an engineer's eye back in '93)
vanman
how much will it cost me for one?
Ferris
79.95 at your local retailer.

Ferris
Well you should go down to Toys R Us or Babbages and try to dicker them on down. Tell them its old technology. Shouldn't it strike them as just a bit peculiar that they are carrying in stock a ten-year-old item for an obscure video game system? ...that's what I tell the guys at all the local Walmarts that are overstocked with this item. 79.95 geez! vanman
do they actually have them? I dont think you can dicker with a big store like that.
Mindfield
do they actually have them? I dont think you can dicker with a big store like that. Believe me. Any store desperate enough to unload age-old crap will haggle. To most retailers, shelf space is worth more than product that doesn't move. vb_master
I never saw anything like that at any of the places around here.
Ferris
lol you mean to tell me that all your local stores (Walmart, Toys R Us, Babages, etc.) aren't overstocked still with rare 3DO accessories? Hell I see those things layin around all the time.

VidGameKing
wow! 3Do stuff still around thats cool! I've never seen that!
christianscott27
i've noticed that kay-bee toystores tend to keep old gamestock around in those big drawers behind the counter. thats how i got all my virtual boy games a few years ago, they also had jaguar and game.com stuff. it helps to ask the mgr. rather than the retail droid. still i've never seen anything 3do in stores...maybe an indy TV shop might have a few things, my local mom and pop TV shop is still trying to unload its webtv overstock.
