For November, continuing our look at 1984, we'll play one of my faves, Mario Bros. Play from defaults, using real 5200 systems and Atari Mfg controls. Period aftermarket sticks allowed, with a -1 HSC pt penalty (Wico, CompPro) Flashcarts and SD loaders, running original Rom, are only modern exceptions. Pics preferred, but not required, except for HSC wins and records. Round ends when month does. (I'll have to play early and very late, lol)

Current HSC record- Bust it for a bonus point!

Nevervember has come to an end, with RB5200 bagging another win, in convincing fashion. 😎 This is actually my favorite port of Mario Bros to play. Thanks to all who've played, and continue keeping the actual 5200 going, 40yrs later. I'll get something up very soon, to finish our year.

My container from Mom's house came this week, and I've been rather busy with that, but it's empty and getting picked up today. I've been sorting all weekend, lol. While I'd sold an awful lot up there, still have decent stuff to use, and found all my spare parts, etc, finally fixing that dead 65xe of mine.

Final scores-

316,520  RB5200 +11

172,060  zylon +10

112,420  DamonicFury +9

84,270  nitrohepcat -1+8=7

22,980  RangerG +7

The colors look a little off on my 5200 with RF out.

Sounds like you need to adjust the color pot, this is a very common issue, and a pretty easy adjustment to do. If you don't know how, then PM me and I'll guide you through.

@zylon I agree this is a great port! The colors look a little off on my 5200 with RF out. Good luck with the 65XE

I put a new Mobo in. MT Ram death... I'd ordered one from Best, never got it, and USPS denied my claim every single time, and Best never refunded, or resent. I rather use the 400 or XEGS, but had one 65 to fill a collection slot. It's actually from the English dept at my former school district, so fixing that one had more meaning to me. :)

Often, my pictured screen colors on here, are off, but that's from the extra power draw, using multicarts. If I run originals, it doesn't happen, unless I play a very long time. If I adjust, I use Kaboom, and go for the richest green possible. That pretty much sets up the rest.

I fiddled around with the color pot and the settings on my TV. Now the green is looking good and the bricks are red-brown instead of purple. Thanks for your suggestion!
