So, I purchased a license for Xanadu Scenario II.  Seems unplayable as it is.  Either the character wanders in a screen where he gets stuck or encountering enemies he just can't hit.

Does this work with the original Xanadu so I can build up a good character?  Or, is this like some Sony Vita titles that are half translated and impossible.

I'm curious -- I will eventually buy one of the Eggconsole titles, just to try out the emulation, but I have to assume the game should be playable on its own.  I doubt you can import your data, as there is no reference to that anywhere on the site...

I found some data about the game here: https://www.inverteddungeon.com/index.php?section=related&page=dragon_slayer_2_scen_2

It sounds like, ORIGINALLY, this might have been sold as a new "second disk" for the system -- so your speculation might be true.  It sounds like they just bundled the standard game disk 1 with the "Scenario II" disk 2... and that nothing really changes until you go underground.

Umm I just poked about a bit as i didn't think Nintendo would allow a game you can't play.

The first two quality videos I found I think will get the going good to start.

The one above is a basic gameplay mechanic that shows the early spots to a point and how to tackle it a bit without committing suicide.  But i think this second video is key to watch in detail and take notes, it shows how to start to train up, also about a throwable spell/weapon you can use quite a lot to nail down some of those punk enemies early on without being surrounded and smoked.

I had no idea old PC88 etc stuff was on switch, you're tempting me as I just never considered ever emulating these things.  I love Faxanadu and would have wanted to try more from the series, outside of the utterly confusing Legacy of the Wizard, that we just never got.
