Tempest
Now that Tower of Mystery has been released on Atari 50, I thought I'd post my write up here to help people play the game. I want give a shout out to @Thomas Jentzsch for looking through the code and figuring out how a lot of this game worked! I wouldn't have been able to do this without him. http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/towerofmystery/towerofmystery.htm 2 3 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/375203-add-tower-of-mystery/ Share on other sites
+wavemotion
That's very cool, Tempest! From your page: "The second copy was found in the possession of programmer Jane Terjung who graciously allowed it to be preserved and distributed" I assume distributed means just on Atari 50 (that is - no public dump is available... right?). Any details on the 2K RAM access / banking on this cart? I'm as much interested in that as I would be on the game itself. Well when I made that page the original plan was that the rom would be 'unofficially' available on the usual pages but that's changed unfortunately. I'm not happy about it, but I have no say in the matter. I'll have to update the page I guess. Hardware specs aren't my thing. Maybe @Thomas Jentzsch knows? 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/375203-add-tower-of-mystery/#findComment-5563929 Share on other sites

+bfstats
Thanks to you and Thomas for the excellently detailed write-up. This game rivals the SwordQuest series, and I dare say is probably much better. Need the ROM, Dude! If it does indeed use the same bankswitching as He-Man, Eckhard Stolberg's dumping software should recognize it. It's just a shame it was never finished. I imagine there are still things hiding in the game that we've missed. classicgamer74
Don't forget that you can play it on the DLC of Atari 50. I haven't got around to playing it yet.
