HawgWyld
Jeepers, I wish someone would have told me sooner how great "Awesome Golf" for the Lynx is. Absolutely love that thing, and it's a great title for a system that isn't exactly known for decent sports titles.
Tom-Lynx
Awesome Golf is one of the best Lynx games ever made! I was reading an interview with the developers once and they really polished the game, especially for comlynx play. The comlynx drivers were rewritten by the developers because the standard drivers were not satisfactory. If you ever have the chance to have a multi-player Awesome Golf game, the transitions between characters are perfect. Also, the title screen is one of the only times I have seen the Lynx use more than 16 colors at once. Tom
glitch
It's not the best golfing game I've ever played but I have to agree w/ you that it's a great game on the lynx. I actually put it in my top 5. I find it to be the perfect game to play while waiting for my son's soccer practice to finish or when just going to bed. Still have to beat my 5 under par record though

Unfortunately, there's almost no chance of a multiplayer game on this -- I know of no one else here in Northwest Arkansas who owns a Lynx, sadly. Songbird
quoteand it's a great title for a system that isn't exactly known for decent sports titles. Actually, the Lynx has some outstanding sports titles. I think the Jaguar more correctly described as a system lacking in sports titles (no baseball, tennis, golf, or hockey games published). Check out these great sports titles on the Lynx: Awesome Golf California Games JC Tennis Hockey Euro Soccer Challenge Checkered Flag Championship Rally Some solid but not stellar sports games: Baseball Stars Mailbu Volleyball NFL Football (some don't like it, I enjoy it though) Sure, there maybe not be multiple games to choose from in most sports categories on the Lynx, but what's there is very good overall. Indeed, I'm enjoying the heck out of it, when I can pry it away from my Wife, that is. Hope the Commodore 64-SX is as big a hit up your way. Well, is this a more accurate statement -- "The Lynx doesn't have a lot of decent sports titles." See, it's like this. I can find a ton of great sports titles for the Genesis or Playstation, and the Lynx looks rather lacking when compared to those two. Heck, the Lynx is even lacking in the sports department when compared to the Sega Game Gear or Nintendo Game Boy, although the Atari is the superior product. Still, there are a few good sports titles available for the Lynx, and "Awesome Golf" is one of those. That's my only point.

I would be so bold as to list even more Lynx sports games, although admittedly most will never make even a footnote in history: - Basketbrawl - Krazy Ace Miniature Golf - Ponx - Robo-Squash - Tournament Cyberball 2072 - Worldclass Fussball/Soccer And if you classify martial arts fighting games as "sports", you would have: - Double Dragon - Pit Fighter (I would classify Kung Food, Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden III as more platform than fighting) And if you are including racing games like Champ Rally, then you also have: - Hard Drivin' - Road Riot 4WD - S.T.U.N. Runner - Super Off-Road It's too bad Relief Pitcher never got released. I spoke to a collector that had a finished prototype and he claimed it was much better than Baseball Heroes. Ze_ro
Atari was even planning a basketball game (Full Court Press), and a boxing game (Heavyweight Contender), as well as another hockey game (Blood & Guts Hockey). Unfortunately, none of these came out --Zero
