alfredtdk
Test versions of the 4 Arcade stages (No gameplay or scoring) New jumping and walking sound effects. To go to the next stage, just rescue the baby kangaroo Joey. Test versions of stages 1 and 3 with gameplay and scoring I tried to base myself on the scoring values in the Atari 2600 version manual, strawberries are worth 200 points. the Pineapple 800 points and the baby kangaroo Joey you get 1000 points in your score. If you touch the albino gorilla or the monkey on guard you lose your life and the game restarts. If you bump into the Bonus score the game will go to the next stage and the game will crash. alfredtdk
Who out there liked or still likes the game Kangaroo? Do you think it deserves a new port for the Atari 2600? I will soon make the PAL60 versions available. 2 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/375515-canguru-demo-stages/#findComment-5566612 Share on other sites

alfredtdk
I thought of other possible titles like Joey - the Rescue, Kan - The Kangaroo. Any other suggestions? For now the provisional title is Canguru in Brazilian Portuguese. alfredtdk
If programmers are interested in participating in the completion of the project, send me a private message. There is still a lot to be done, title screen, game over screen, using some type of artificial intelligence on enemies, adjusting the coordinates of the stairs so that our kangaroo can go up and down, sound effects of the bell ringing and other types of objects appearing. fruits to be collected by our marsupial, small soundtrack when the baby kangaroo is rescued by its mother, improved scoring system, lives, etc.. I'm a fan, always thought seeing a reloaded hack of the 2600 version (32K) with improved graphics and missing levels like Venture or this one in particular. 2 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/375515-canguru-demo-stages/#findComment-5569968 Share on other sites
