The Harmony cartridge can be used if you load a single game into it, but it won't work with the normal mode where it reads the contents of an SD card and displays a menu. ..Al 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/376061-7800-unboxing-and-review/#findComment-5574153 Share on other sites
Jinks
Would have been cool if the 7800+ had a spot for an sd card to read roms. 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/376061-7800-unboxing-and-review/#findComment-5574161 Share on other sites

I intended to get one to play games on it and not look at it like it is from space. The hdmi and wireless controllers is a deal with the 7800+ Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/376061-7800-unboxing-and-review/#findComment-5574878 Share on other sites

That would have been an improvement but no doubt would have been hacked for using ROMs.. I suppose that is a risk, but you can already leverage something like the Harmony cart for this purpose. Given the target market I cannot imagine it would pose a significant risk. I’m sure everyone on this forum is able to run Stella - heck I have a collection of hundreds of 2600 ROMs for use with my Flashback portable, but I wager most of the active users here are buying carts when technically they don’t need to 😊 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/376061-7800-unboxing-and-review/#findComment-5581586 Share on other sites
