ataribob
10 of us got that e-mail. Was personal since They did not post it here first. Only 10 were sold. I would guess the hate mail was one of the 10 here. It's a pity with only 10 let out of the Bag. I traded mine. Not making any money on the deal wait until the first one hits ebay. If you had not had a chance to get one before someone here pissed them off. It will be worth every penny it gets on E-bay. Seems no one here did not see a good thing And I wonder whom I can thank Bob.
Albert
I didn't even get a chance to order one myself, as Bruce announced this right around PhillyClassic and I completely spaced on it until I saw his post to various newsgroups. Are you saying he only sold 10 copies? If that's the case, one has to remember that the Lynx community really isn't that large, so I'm not sure how many he was expecting to sell. I'm sure he would have sold more over time, but I don't think one can expect a huge onslaught of sales for anything Lynx related these days. ..Al
ataribob
He was nice about it. He gave us our choice of any two lynx games for each of us that bought it. I wish he would put one on e-bay.....
Ze_ro
I just found out that there's a game called Daemon's Gate for the PC... apparently, it's not very good according to it's review over at Home of the Underdogs. Is this the same game that was released for the Lynx? --Zero
Tom-Lynx
Yep....that's the same game. Several places on the web have the complete game walk-through, and by looking at the walk-through it is obvious the Lynx version is not finished when you play it. The Daemonsgate Lynx cart is pretty cool from the standpoint of it showing the potential of an RPG on the Lynx. The character moves around pretty quickly (not like underwater as in Viking Child) and the single piece of background music is very respectable. The problem of the game (besides not being finished) is that the interface is clunky and the villages are too large and all the little buildings look identical. A bit more variety in the landscape would be very welcome. Oh... and a SAVE or PASSWORD option would be a huge relief! Tom
