Out_of_Gas
Ok I said I would have a update by today(Sunday) Ok. Got inspiration from activision movement, and Berserk. Thinned Magnum down. Made running animation better(I HOPE) Up and down animations improved, but got more to do. Tis the season, and we need more time. magnum_v2.zip

StanJr
Looking good. I like the progress. Run animation can be tricky. I REALLY like the leg action on the up and down scrolling, but the arms flail about miserably. Less motion there would help. Its a tough sitch. The side scrolling is coming along nicely. With a figure this large you do have some room to work with. I'd concentrate on giving some bend to that spine and working on the arm movement so he doesn't get really fat when his arms come forward. The legs are looking good, but also get muttled at times. The key to run animation is KEEP IT SIMPLE. Make MINOR or MAJOR changes with each new graphic. either legs are together, then spread or legs move slightly with each frame, depends on how many different frames you get when the character moves. Another thing that may help is to actually keep one leg stationary and only move the other one. I've done this on a few of my hacks. Take a look at my Zelda hack and my Tomb Raider hack and you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about. I REALLY had to work some magic to get Lara to look right (and she is still not perfect!) Keep working, its looking great! Can't wait to see what you do with the bad guys!
