Fredde
Here's my first graphical hack. It's a Star Wars-themed Space Invaders hack. I changed the ship to an X-wing, the invaders to different imperial ships (TIE Fighter, TIE Interceptor, TIE bomber, Gunship, TIE Advanced and Star Destroyer) and the UFO that flies past into that most annoying of Star Wars characters, Jar Jar Binks. Hope ya like it. starwars.zip
Thomas Jentzsch
Welcome to the hacking club! BTW: Did anybody count which game is the most hacked one?
Nukey Shay
Counting "experimental" hacks? Could be Adventure. But I'd have to say Space Invaders if you are referring to actual finished hacks. Meesa unrecognisable

Thomas Jentzsch
12 SIs vs. "only" 7 Pac Mans, followed by 5 Asteroids.
Fredde
Meesa unrecognisable That's suposed to be just his head, of ya wonder. And I also forgot to say that the "shields" have been changed to Corelian Corvettes (the ship that Leia travels in the beginning of episode IV), tough you probably figured that out already. And yes, I know SI is popular to hack, but ya gotta start somewhere, right? My next project will be a Berzerk hack, I think.
uosipa llamxew
Nice hack! :-) If you are interested, you can go into the ROM at about lines 0cad - 0cc7 and edit the space invaders burst animation. At about 0c15 - 0c25, you can edit the death animation. :-) Did anybody count which game is the most hacked one? LOL! I think it is because it is really easy to make out the space invaders in the ROM. Also, hacking Space Invaders provides instant gratification - ie after a few clicks in a tile editor, simply plug the ROM in, and all your graphic changes are already on screen (excluding the UFO which comes after about 5-10 seconds). You don't have to play through it to see how your graphics look. Bada Bing Bonk Bloop I'm telling you guys though... Space Invaders is more fun while listening Beck's Midnight Vultures... it just fits so well with the theme! :-)
StanJr
Now, this I like! Very well done, the TIE's look great!!! Any way to slim down the Star Destroyers and the nose of the X-wing? And while shooting Jar Jar gives me no end of happiness, I think the UFO is MUCH better suited to be the Death Star (especially since the other stuff in the hack is all original trilogy based). How about another Hac: "Kill Episode I Invaders" with Jar Jars, Anakins, Midi-chlorians, Two-Headed Announcers and other lame things to shoot at, with Lucas' head as the UFO! Now THAT would be fun. Very nice job for your first hack though!
ATARI TROLL
Ties do look great! Look forward to more! Cheers
