Ze_ro
$10 for the goggles and the carts. All my money had been spent on beer. I will never speak of this again. Well, I'm sure I'd want to get drunk after something like that too. --Zero

jhd
Is there anyway i can get a cheap vectrex? What is cheap ? I once saw a Vectrex in a thrift shop for about $15 Cdn. The controller was clearly damaged and I don't know if it was actually in working order. Unfortunately, I had no way to get it back home so I had to leave it

Ze_ro
Is there anyway i can get a cheap vectrex? No. The only way you're getting it for cheap is if you luck out and find one at a thrift store. --Zero
Rob Mitchell
With a VecRAM, do you have to constantly have it hooked up to the computer? Or will it retain downloaded stuff so that you can, for example, take it over to a friends house? Although multicarts are cool, I'd still rather have a collection of original cartridges. Somehow, it seems more authentic. --Zero The original VecRAM cart has to have the Vectrex powered up when the program transfer from PC occurs. I use my palmtop to transfer programs to the Vectrex .. so portability is not a problem. (I type, compile and transfer programs to my Vectrex from my palmtop.) The new VecRAM II cart to be released soon will store several programs for portability. So it is a mini multicart. I have a large collection of original Vectrex carts .. but I never pull them out. I have a large collection of Atari 2600/7800 carts .. but I never pull them out as I have the Cuttle Cart II. Inky
If I knew how to program the vectreex, I'd see to it that Star Wars would make it to the console.
Fellow Atari Man
It WAS, actually...well a homebrew, anyway: www.classicgamecreations.com It's on Vecmania, I think (need to get that...), called Star Fire Spirits. You can play it on the Vectrex emulator, if you've got it (I think there's only one). I heard it's pretty tough though, tougher than the arcade game.
