5200 Power Supply

What are the output rating on a 5200 power adapter. I was thinking of tring my NES power adapter to see if the 5200 even works? Has anyone tried this?

The four port uses - 9.3V DC@1.95 amp

and the two port uses - 11.5V DC@1.95 amp

 

An NES power supply will not work, since it outputs AC power not DC.

I always thought it was the other way around:

Four-Port: 11.5V DC@1.95 A

Two-Port: 9.3V DC@1.95 A

 

I thought the higher voltage in the Four-Port was for the automatic switchbox. i.e. because of the higher voltage it can switch automatically to 'game' mode like the nintendo. I don't know if this is for sure though.

 

Get yourself a 5200 power supply, and don't worry too much about the output. I have tried interchanging the power supplies for the two/four port consoles with success. My 5200 is still working, and my house hasn't burned; but I'm not responsible if yours does. OK?

 

Remember: Only use a 5200 power supply with a 5200
