The closest events to you are the Midwest Gaming Classic and the Video Game Summit. The Midwest Gaming Classic covers all electronic gaming (pinball, arcade uprights, computers and home console video games) and will be coming this May 22nd and 23rd to Milwaukee, WI -- about a day's drive away depending on where you are at in Michigan. You can check out the Web site at http://www.midwestgamingclassic.com for more details, and we have a LOT more to announce within the next few weeks 8)

I don't remember the VGS Web site offhand, but if you look at Dan I's posts about it below this one, I know he has links going to it. It is held in Chicago (again, probably a days drive depending on where you are) this July and is focused on home video games.

If you have any questions about the MGC for me, feel free to PM me!

I wish there were but I've never heard of anything. The closest events are in WI, IL, and OH. However I've been wanting to start a Michigan area get together for some time now. Not a convention, but maybe a gaming night of some type. There are a bunch of Atari guys near Lansing I hear.

We did forget one gathering (not a convention though) in IL that only some of elete people do go to every summer :

Sean kellys Chi- town classic.

they used meet in Sean's backyard to swap game and stories and hang.

now they hang out in sean's new store in norridge (harwood heights) area

(Video games ETC) and swap games and stories.

I would ask Joe from DP about this though.(I always wanted to go but never knew when or where)
