More New Labels

If you look at the blue Ghostbusters detail entry, it's very much broken. (No title, picture, ID numbers, etc.)

 

And the 1987 Realsports Football label more closely resembles the 1988 version (no "Use with Joystick Controller" text).. the 88 version looks like they just used the 87 label and replaced the year (the 88 label introduces a typeset error.. the baseline of the date doesn't match the rest of the line)

WOW... went through all my games and found EIGHTEEN new labels.

 

Backgammon (Atari Picture)

Mine: Copyright 1986, squared-off picture

Guide: Copyright 1978, rounded corners on picture

 

Bowling (Atari Picture)

Mine: Copyright 1986, squared-off picture

Guide: Copyright 1978, rounded corners on picture

 

Breakaway IV (Sears Text)

Mine: Atari copyright text; item number in corner is 49/75107

Guide: No Atari copyright; item number in corner is 6/99813

 

Carnival (Coleco Standard)

Mine: Yellow text only states Atari 2600 VCS in large letters

Guide: Yellow text types out VCS acronym and adds Sears Video Arcade

 

Centipede (Atari Silver)

Mine: Copyright 1988; lacks Joystick text

Guide: Copyright 1982; has Joystick text

 

Dark Cavern (MNetwork Black)

Mine: "M.I. 1982 Korea"

Guide: "M.I. 1982 U.S.A."

 

Defender (Atari Picture)

Mine: Ship's wing cut off at top; no outline around model number

Guide: Ship completely in picture; outline around model number

 

Dig Dug (Atari Silver)

Mine: "© 1983 Atari, Inc."

Guide: "© 1987 Atari Corp."

 

ET The Extra-Terrestrial (Atari Silver)

Mine: Ship has big windows (looks like a shark's teeth)

Also, my MouseTrap (Coleco Standard) cartridge has a sticker on the back indicating it was a pack-in with a Gemini.

 

And I found a couple more messed up pages: Kaboom (Activision Blue) and Video Checkers (Atari Text).. these also don't appear in the main Rarity Guide list

Okay, many of those we won't be adding right now. We need to implement a filtering method so that people don't have to wade through every variation if they don't want to.

 

As for Kaboom and Video Checkers, we do have scans of them here and here. Apparently we screwed up the database code so they aren't showing, so we'll get that fixed. Thanks for pointing that out.
