Bob Bytchin
I have a lot of friends around my age (33) that have heard for years about certain rumoured games in the works. For instance, while on a quest for information about Cloak and Dagger, I dug up some tidbits on a few games that were possible candidates for "prototype" games. Many of these would be on the 5200, but they still are possible. Games like: Major Havoc, Paperboy, Gauntlet, Blasteroids, I-Robot, Marble Madness...and others. Tempest
I haven't seen an up to date list in a year or so. I'd love to help on such a project as my passion is discovering and documenting prototypes. On a side note, I'm working on a project to catalog all known prototypes for the 2600/5200/7800. I want to record how many of each type have been found, the date or version number, and any differences between the prototypes. It's a big task, and most people don't know anything about their prototypes other than they own them (you'd be surprised at how many people don't play their prototypes). If anyone wants to help me on either project let me know. BTW, I heard that Major Havoc was bearly started, Crystal Castles was almost done, and only the 400/800 version of Cloak & Dagger was started (about 50% done). Check out my prototype page for more information on my efforts to catalog prototypes: http://www.msu.edu/user/reicher6/proto.htm Tempest
robsterman
Coming soon - the Robsterman's MOST COMPLETE list of Atari 2600 video games. Yes, this is the same Robsterman who brought you the MOST COMPLETE Atari 2600 reviews.
Tempest
Uh, so what does this have to do with this message? Why would you put uncofirmed prototype sightings on a list of known 2600 games? Don't go away mad, just go away... Tempest
Bob Bytchin
True...a list of known games has nothing to do with prospective games or wishful thinking. If Atari had been working on Tempest, then you have to wonder what other games were in the works. If Elevator Action and/or Zookeeper have surfaced, then what other games lay beneath the surface?? Joel D. Park
Wow Tempest, the bitterness just pours from every orifice with you.. Why so bitter.. I thought the Robsterman has been keeping it pretty cool this last week. Where all in this together. ~Red Green Later, Joel D. Tempest
Just asking a question. I thought I was keeping it civil (I didn't bash his so called "list" did I?). He was keeping it cool, then he had to go copy stuff from my page and have the audacity to change the words to reflect his own sad agenda. That's when I got pissed! But I've ended it (I hope), if he agrees to stop abusing my webpage then I'll bite my tounge whenever he opens his mouth. Won't be easy but I'll manage somehow (maybe I'll just play with my Robsterman voodoo doll). Anyway, back to the point of this post. I still stand by my question: What does this project of cataloging possible prototypes have to do with the Robsterman list? Tempest BTW, I'm only bitter on the outside. Inside I'm filled with creamy nouget. [ 05-11-2001: Message edited by: Tempest ]

robsterman
Hey, if there are some SNICKERS, that means people are sorta happy. And, since we're all kind of nuts, would that make us ALMOND JOY???
