Mark your calenders boys and girls. As always, part of the NWCGE 2K4 festivities year will be an extension of the Annual NorthWest Atari 2600 Championship where we will declare the Atari 2600 World Champion for 2004. NWCGE 2K4 ( http://nwcge.org ) has always been the home of the only annual Atari 2600 Champinship for years now. This year, we've decided to invite more than just the locals to cast their lot in with the rest of us for prizes and noteriety. Beign good at any one particular genre of game on the 2600 isn't good enough for you to win. You must be a well rounded player on all fronts. From the NWCGE website I quote "More than a Hi-Score contest, the NW Atari 2600 Championship has become an annual tradition among local gaming enthusiasts, covering all skills from joysticks to paddles, hi-score contests to direct head-to-head Combat, all through several rounds of play. Qualification - Elimination - FINALS! At the end of the day, there can only be one winner. Do YOU have what it takes? All ages are welcome to compete. If YOU can hold a joystick, YOU can win!" As mentioned before we've got the ear of the Seattle news media as well as demonstrated by a recent radio interview interview ( http://nwcge.org/recording.mp3 ).

Don't just take my word on it, see this thread here ( http://atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=43593 ). NWCGE has been around since the early days, before CGE and Philly. The locals know... you know, the same folks the that brought you the XBOX, Mario and the Boeing 747.... and now you know as well. Come see what drives gamers in the Northwest. For many, it maybe fast cars and fast women, but here, here in the NorthWest, its clean mountain air, glaciar covered peaks, fat stock options and enough time to enjoy it all

Don't miss it. NWCGE2K4 May 8-9, 2004

If YOU don't come, YOU can't win!
