MadLynxer
I just played the ROM of Lode Runner. I have to say that has to be the most annoyingly fun Lynx game. Is it available in cartridge form any where?
+davidcalgary29
No, unfortunately. I've asked Bruce Caruso (B&C Computervisions) to burn a copy of the only available ROM image, but it doesn't seem to work.
+Sauron
It's a shame it doesn't work, I really would like to see that game on the Lynx. Playing it in Handy just isn't the same.
chris_lynx1989
perhaps someone will clone one of the two eprom carts that were auction- ed off on ebay back in 2002/3 by kurt olson? could happen,i guess. i've seen the rom of it and some other neat lynx titles on www.retrobase.de several times. also,i'm thinking that one of the two people that got one of these eprom carts from kurt has posted on aa and the lynx forum before. would one of them be willing to offer a scan of the rom image it contains? do you dare? would one of you offer it up? i dare you to do it!--the lynxer

HawgWyld
I just played the ROM of Lode Runner. I have to say that has to be the most annoyingly fun Lynx game. Is it available in cartridge form any where? Argh! Don't get me started. "Lode Runner" on a Lynx would be downright ideal.
Rocko
I have really wanted that game, ever since I got the rom (like 2 years ago). Is there a lynx programmer here that can port it? (Or at least fix/rewrite it so we can play it on the Lynx?)

(Or at least fix/rewrite it so we can play it on the Lynx?) I believe that the original source code was lost in a hard drive meltdown. We'll all have to wait until -- and if -- another backup copy is found.
MadLynxer
I think it wont transfer to the eprom because its only 46k. Retrobase sucks, they make you install a dialer to dl roms.
JagChris
Rumor is this is a hack of the Apple II version. This is awesome. Such memories. Although 2 button configuration is throwing me a little. I wonder if the Championship Levels(I think that's what it was called) could be ported the same way.
JagChris
Digging around I found out the Championship levels were ported at some point (Kurt Olsen) but lost. And a member named Jefferson was poking around with the binary at some point and fixes some things but can find nothing further. This port has a very interesting history. THis game takes me back in time pretty hard.
