KittyLove
Does this site ever have like an atari convention? I was a member of this one site and they threw this big convention/party and it was awesome!!! Just wondering...
Duke 4ever
Atari Age mainly sponsors classic gaming events. Such as the Philly Classic, coming next week!
Nukey Shay
Yup...and Austin has an annual gaming expo as well...a bit closer to ya  Check out the "Events" forum for more info...where you will see links like this one that directs you to photos of events gone by: Last year's A.G.E. Be sure to bring a swimsuit for the judging j/k The seedier side of it can be seen here... http://atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p...p=357937#357937 Thanks to MMF for the detective work about these degenerates! +-^CrossBow^-
Also, The September that just passed us last year had the 1st OKGE in Tulsa... I really wish I could do another one for this year, but it would take much more than my own pocket change to do it right. And right now I just can't do that. Hmm..suppose this should have been posted in the Events area...perhaps I will when I have a more concrete decision on this. I am toiling with an idea of much smaller grandier. Like just having a get together for the local collectors at my house for a day or something to put my Wife's car on the street and hook up the systems in the garage for a fun day of classic gaming fun or something... Just some thoughts...
Susuwatari
I still wish we'd have a Michigan convention. Almost half of AA regulars are in MI.
CPUWIZ
Almost half of AA regulars are in MI. Really?
NovaXpress
We should have a convention in Omaha or Kansas City, a nice central location.
Nukey Shay
Almost half of AA regulars are in MI. Really? That many? If that were the case, there would have alreay been some...and nobody would bother to turn out for PC or AGE Doesn't Detroit have something anually? Or have they all been shot? j/k
Dan Iacovelli
I still wish we'd have a Michigan convention. Almost half of AA regulars are in MI. the two shows clossest to MI are The Midewst Gaming Classic in WI on may 22nd and 23rd and The 2004 Video Game Summit in IL on July 17th. bjk7382
Almost half of AA regulars are in MI. Really? I counted 11 just in the "Thrift stores in Michigan" post. Far from half of the regulars, but a pretty large number nonetheless.
froggger2
I too have noticed many AA posters from Michigan. I would certainly support an Atari convention anywhere in Michigan.
Big Player
I'd make the drive to Michigan for an classic gaming event. Now I would hope it was in southern Michigan or the Detroit area. That about a five hour drive for me. And if they have a Cinciclassic this year, you Michigan gamers could take I-75 down here.
chairmonkey4406
How about omaha or around there or western Iowa or northern Kansas or Southern South Dakota?
Guest cvo
Kittylove, since you are from Oklahoma, you have gotta try to make it down for Austin Gaming Expo (AGE) this year. We had a blast last year and there will be more fun after-show things going on (we need more blackmail pics of Pocky) as well. You can get your hands on a lot of games and hardware to add to your current stash of goodies. So if you can make the drive or flight down, please do and hope to see and meet you there! Guest cvo
I was originally going to come up and help out with setting up PC and the AtariAge booth, but my cousin wanted to come visit me here in Austin, so I'm not going to PC this year. She'll be down from the 18th til the 25th, so there is no way I could make it up. Also I have a major software release March 31 and can't get time off to go anyway. But there is always next year!!! The goal is to have blackmail pics of Pocky at as many convention cities as possible. heheh!!! You guys will have to help me out in that area. Table props work best. Last year's was drink coasters. Ed Siegler
The thums up was for the fact that Shawn said he wasn't comming. I was hoping that Carolyn came so there would be a bowling rematch.
