PC-5 The aftermath....

Just got in a few minutes ago from dropping off the rental truck.

MMF and Mrs MMF have already put up some great photo's but let me just add, the show was truly the best ever, they will full out this year with carpeting, table shirts, pipe & drape and really created one of the most professional evironments for any of the shows to date and the costs per table were actually very low considering what everyone got.

Crowds were spectacular, I guess it'll be a while before the final figures, but I know David & Mark mentioned to me around 1pm on Satruday that attendance had already broken 1,000 so I would give a guess that it was around 2,500-2,700 and it really showed, good thing the aisles were wide because a few times it was just a sea of people.

Major kudo's to Videotopia, they brought some of the most incredible coin-ops that anyone got to play and there were a LOT!!! They were still loading them up into the two 24' trucks at 7pm Sunday....

Matt (Tempest) is on his way home after SS and I managed to destroy the back seats of his mini-van putting that DECO Burger Time/Bump N Jump coin-op into it, and Matt bought yet another Adam Computer System! ;-)

SS..... MAJOR MAJOR thanks from me to you for all the great help you gave with unloading and loading stuff out of my truck for the Atari Museum exhibit

(Which by the way came crashing down during the breakdown of the show.... gave a whole new meaning to breaking down an exhibit and remarkable enough.... nothing got damaged past a few little minor dings and dents... damn I build good stuff! ;-)

Will post a lot of photo's tomorrow, right now I need some sleep, g-night

I just want to take the oppurtunity to say I had a GREAT time. AA's booth was exceedingly well put togeather and the time and effort really shined through. I also really enjoyed the AtariMuseum exhibit, and most everything else that was available to everyone.

One thing though, it's amazing how hot a room that size can get with that many coin-ops, TV's, consoles, computers, and people in it. :D It's just another testament to how hard the vendors and organizers worked to make this go off smoothly. Thanks again to everyone.

Since I mostly lurk, I didn't run into many people that I knew. But I did talk with Trade-N-Games and he really made the show even more enjoyable for me and my tag-along girlfriend. Thanks man.

Finally, the weather was gorgeous. The winds on Sunday were a bit much, but considering the worries some people had before the show, we couldn't have had a better weekend.

Thanks again everyone, maybe I'll see more of you in person next year. :)

SS.....    MAJOR MAJOR thanks from me to you for all the great help you gave with unloading and loading stuff out of my truck for the Atari Museum exhibit

My pleasure, that’s what friends are for. Plus, major kudos to you for bringing such great stuff for us all to enjoy year after year!

Indeed! Curt - I think we were all scared not just for your health and loss to your friends and loved ones when that exhibit fell, but for what a tragedy your loss would be to both the gaming community AND to future cons! We're glad you escaped with no injury, and as a bonus relatively little else was scathed except perhaps your pride and our frayed nerves. :D

Yo peeps:

Among other skills, Mr. Vendel is good at estimating bodies in a large, sweaty room. The wristband count was 2584 -- including all vendors, exhibitors, and staff of which there were approximately 200 (based on VIP badges we had made up, and of course, some people did not get a VIP badge because we ran out!)

Well, my feet still hurt, dagnabit! But before I drive back to the convention center to relieve the security guy and get the TV rentals squared away at 9am, I wanted to take a moment to thank all the AtariAge cast and crew who support PhillyClassic directly, indirectly, and otherwise through an amazing lineup of things to buy, things to play, and people to connect.

Albert always works like a madman [and ends up taking only his best friends down with him] into cart-production hell and the AtariAge sweatshop that has been known to travel from hotel to hotel across the nation, leaving only bits of solder and foamcore and label cuttings as their distinctive calling card.

Thank you guys so much for your work, your generosity of time and talent, and your support before, during, and after our event.

And look for PRON 2.0 debuting this summer at AGE2. I'll be there. :D

I will work on making some nice pages with thumbnails and captions, but here are some of the photo's I took at PC5. This is only about 50% of my photo's, the others didn't come out and some of these are a little blurry, my camera didn't seem to behave itself this weekend, I will post up a link to some video shortly, but here are more photo's from the Friday night setup through Saturday and into Sunday.

I just got in after a 9.5 hour drive so I'll keep this brief.

>>Matt (Tempest) is on his way home after SS and I managed to destroy the back seats of his mini-van putting that DECO Burger Time/Bump N Jump coin-op into it, and Matt bought yet another Adam Computer System!

Getting it was the easy part, getting it out was hard! It's home safe and sound though.

>>SS..... MAJOR MAJOR thanks from me to you for all the great help you gave with unloading and loading stuff out of my truck for the Atari Museum exhibit

Ditto with my stuff. I owe you one dude!

It was great to meet everyone in person at the show last weekend. I will plan on attending more shows this year. I was very busy at my booth selling but did find a little time to score some great games. Next show i will bring help with me!

I hope to see you at Midwest gaming classic or even VGS'04(shamless plug sorry)

Trade-N-Games. Sorry I wasn't able to get back to your table to get that Majora's Mask. We got busy at our table and then it was all over and I just plain missed it. I'll make it up to you next time.

Trade-N-Games had a great table with some great deals! :)

Was TNG the booth right next to AA's, opposite to the Coleco displays and the Songbird table?  If not who was that?  I got some killer sweet deals there, including a NGPC for $25.

You can't really play Quantum without a trackball sadly. Thankfully that is something I have been able to do in my life  8)

I've played Quantum pretty well with an optical mouse and a large clear area of desk, but I do better with my Logitech Marble than I ever did in the arcade :D
