PhillyClassic 5 Thanks!

Recommended Posts

Before I hit the road to return to Austin, I just wanted to post a quick message here thanking everyone for helping out in some way before, during, and after the show. This list is in no particular order, and if I left anyone out it's simply because I'm still recovering. :)

Matt Reichert, Joe Grand, Curt Vendel, Dale Crum, Mark DiLuciano, Ron Dingman, Kirk Israel, Dan Boris, MegaManFan, MrsMegaManFan, Ed Siegler, Christian Scott, ChickyBaby, z28in82, Tony "Xot" Morse, Big Player, David Newman, Mark Wolfe, Mike Stulir, Cassidy Nolen, SS, Billy Eno, and my next door neighbor Cathy.

It was also great seeing many other members from the forums at the show and other people in the classic gaming community. I had a blast at the show and I look forward to next year's PhillyClassic!! I will post pictures when I get back to Austin!

We actually should be thanking you!!!!

You truly do so much. Speaking for both z28 and myself you were busting your bum and working harder then most people we know. Your dedication an drive are what keeps us coming to these events (not to mention all the free stuff :) )

Z28 and myself both had a lot of fun working the graveyard shift at the "traveling AA sweat shop" it was really a blast, really great people great laughs and we wouldn't mind at all doing it again next year as long as the hotel doesn't ban us for violating the "noise" ordinance. :P

Hope you return to Austin safe an sound and saving up so we can come down to AGE this year for a change.

We also have to thank Mr an Mrs MMF for being such awesome people to hang out with and wonderful dining company - I'd love another round of Tall tales and Tall ales. We hadn't had that much fun in ages.

Thanks to Stan an the many talented Aimee for letting us hijac their booth which boasted some "totally awesome" original atari paintings!

Lots fo thanks to Xot and his wife for providing me with my fix of longtrail -at least now Z28 doesn't have to hear me reminisce. Now he can just tell me to shut the hell up and drink my Ale, lol. You guys did so much for everyone at the convention. And Xot, the auction just wouldn't be the same without you!

Thanking David Newman from a galaxy far far away and for running a wonderful show.

Tempest, Big player, Osmeroid an SS you guys were fun as always and can't wait to see you all next year! Joe Grand you really are grand! So many people so little room to post - everyone at the AA corner of the convention stood out as the best.

There were so many VIP's to us at the convention the list would go on for a very long time! And hopefully I'll have a voice next year to tell you how great you all are at PC6. :D

Right on, AtariAge's efforts and presence absolutely MAKES the Philly Classic experience so much better! And Al goes the extra mile, making sure there are tons of monitors & games hooked up, even awesome professional-looking banners & posters & such! My jaw dropped when I saw the AA section this year. KUDOS AL!

Ditto what everyone else said Albert, SQUARED. My only regrets are the times that I wasn't able to help MORE. I felt bad any time I took a 10 or 15 minute break from the booth to get food or buy some schwag only to see you were totally swamped the minute I got back! I had great fun the whole time - setting up tables, glueing and cutting the posters, assembling cartridges, watching tables and selling goods for all the AA vendors (although I think Dale is still annoyed the Mrs. and I raked in lots of cash for him when he WASN'T there), tearing down afterwards on Sunday, and so much more. As insane as it sounds (and as insane as it was), it was all TONS OF FUN. I can't wait to renew my "Official AtariAge Road Crew" status at the next A.G.E. and I'm sure I speak for Michelle as well. Thanks for letting us be part of the awesomeness!

I think this is a good place for my 100th post. ;)

I totally agree with what Steve and everyone else has said. It's been such great fun to help out "behind the scenes" at events like this. Each one is a real learning experience - like this year's sweat shop! (I can't wait to see those pictures, Billy!)

Plus, it's also fun to sit behind the booth. I think it's a great way to see and meet everyone from the AA board (since everyone always makes sure to stop by!) It's because of AA's presence at PC5 that I've made some really great friends whom I enjoy seeing every year! I also need to talk to Dale about some special "t-shirt" transfers I'd like to request *hee*

I'm really looking forward to AGE2 this year! Viva AtariAge, Ataricart, and Atariprotos! :)

Yeah, Al, none of this is even CLOSE to being possible without you. We are talking about a man who went about 72 hours straight with NO SLEEP, just so he could have the most kick ass booth at the show FULL of stuff and people and debuts and demos and just frickin' everything. AL works harder than a lot of you may realize to put something like the AA booth at Philly together.

Have a safe trip, Al, and get some sleep for Pete's sake! Sheesh. :)

I wanted to thank you guys for pulling out all the stops for this year's show. When I got a break from my little area (opposite corner with the big stereo playing music games) the first place I went was to AtariAge. Only was able to buy a Saboteur cart, but I loved playing Blaster and looking at the other stuff you guys had there. A LOT more than the PC4 booth that I remember!

I can't wait to do this again next year. Hopefully I'll have more free time to wander. :>

New transfer ideas? Did you mention this at the booth? I'm sure I was too busy being away from it to know what was going on over there :) I sold more stuff avoiding the booth so I spent most of the show bothering Osmeroid and Cassidy. Thanks for watching everything for me MrsMegaManFan, you rock! I should probably give a thanks to Tempest, Albert, Joe Grand and Kirk Israel for watching my booth as well. haha sorry for making you work even more. :)

The best part is, both the Mrs and I even remembered to mark your sheet whenever we sold a button or a transfer. I was dissapointed when I looked through the sheet during a lull moment (few and far between as they were) and saw that you hadn't sold a single Run-D.M.C. What's this world coming to when people don't respect the all time hip-hop greats at a classing video game con? Even +I+ should have at least bought one!

Heh-heh!! :D

Philly was great fun again this year, and yes - meeting up with everyone was even better this time around as I was no longer a Philly virgin  and sort-of knew the ropes.

Everyone was really cool, helpful, kind and funny - so a big "THANK YOU" to you all for being so welcoming

Yes sir Stan. Maybe we can talk Dale into sending us each one? Hell I'll PayPal him the cost of the buttons and shipping for both of us; the least I can do for you. Yup, at a dollar, the least. J/K. Seriously though Dale, LMK and I'll pay for one for us each!

LMK? I would be happy to send out a purchase, this will be the first time I have ever recieved an order online so maybe I should send something extra in that package. Let me think about what i can do for you. This might be fun, as long as you don't know what I'm sending the suspense is killing me already. hmmmm

I should send that shirt to you as a momento of the show. I know you really wanted it, you couldn't stop talking about it. haha. Besides, I already tried on all the shirts before the show started and I look damn sexy in all of them. :)

So anyway :lolblue: Dale if you want to give me your PayPal, I'll order two Run-D.M.C. buttons and please tack (no pin pun intended) on shipping. Then I'll mail one of the buttons to Stan, because I have a couple of NES games to send to him and Aimee anyway. :D

And Dale, I bet you DID look damn sexy, but I only want the shirt if you have worn it FIRST.
