neotokeo2001
I like this hack too! :-) I went in to play with a few of the graphics - mainly to add a tumbleweed and change the death graphics. Somehow I screwed up the game so that the bad guys commit suicide if your man stands on the same scanline as they do. HAHAH. I kind of liked my graphics additions though. :-) [edit] OMG! I just noticed my post count! Now I must commit suicide! Take some screenshots of your changes and maybe I can add them in without problems. neotokeo2001
Westworld.....High Noon Sounds more to the theme I was thinking more along the Westworld Berzerk label. In the movie, the Robots basically go Beserk and kill the guest. And since this is a hack of Bezerk......... Talk me out of it........ Out_of_Gas
Thanks to all for the great response to this hack. It may be the best one I ever come up with. Thanks to neo for taking this a step further. In general thanks I appreciate it.

No need to disassemble, You can simply edit those addresses with any Hexeditor. Just notice that in a Hexeditor the file is loaded without any Offset, so its zero based: $0171 : Copyright $080E : Player $09BD : Playfield Greetings, Manuel

neotokeo2001
I made the change to the gunshot sound. I agree, it is a better sound, more western. Started playing around with the colors: Player: Light Green Score/Title: Red Playfield: Brown Also changed the score Font Any suggestions on the colors?? Check out the screenshot of Evil Otto. What should we do with him?? Should we leave him as he is?? *****Play Game #3 for Evil Otto to appear (Arcade Version) Thanks to Cybergoth for pointing me in the right direction. westworld_ver_a.zip

Cybergoth
Hi there! Thanks to Cybergoth for pointing me in the right direction. You're welcome! I'll try and see if it's possible to make the background yellow. It's just not that easy to change, as I'd need to find a little ROM space for that first. As for the font, I think the one used in Atlantis was a "western" font, but it's most likely too big... Greetings, Manuel

Nukey Shay
Here's a rough Berzerk disassembly that has the color locations indicated, as well as the robot color table, and the copyright/score digits labelled (so you can compact the data and save some memory to add in your own routines). See the Centipede thread for an example of compacting bitmap data... http://atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p...p=567987#567987 berzerk_disassembly.zip
