Wanted: Poll Questions

Albert

Recommended Posts

Well, the poll on the front page has been pretty stagnant for a LONG TIME now, and it's nigh time to change it. The original plan was to have at least one new poll a month on the front page, which would then be directly linked into the forum. However, this was to coincide with the changeover to the new forum software, which obviously has not happened. When we do make the changeover, then this will breath new life into the polls.

However, until that time, I'd like to try and stay on top of the polls and update them on a semi-regular basis. To that end, I am soliciting for poll questions (and answers) in this thread. If you have some interesting ideas for polls, please post them here, along with a selection of answers . The polls should be in some way related to gaming, preferrably classic gaming. They don't have to be Atari-centric. After a few have been posted, I will choose one to post on the front page for a few weeks. Would even be interesting to switch out the poll once a week, but I'll have to wait and see how many responses are posted here first. :)

I just thought of a few:

Which system do you have the most games for? 2600, 5200, 7800, Coleco, etc.

Which system are you most likely to buy homebrews/hacks/reproductions of?

Which are you more likely to be interested in - new games (homebrews), hacks of existing titles, reproductions of hard to find items, reproductions of unreleased games?

How much would you be willing to pay for new games with packaging?

Also gives Al some insight into possible store expansion.

Here's a few:

*Would you buy a Jakk's Pacific 5200, 7800, or 8 bit stand-alone?

*Would you want to see a "Design a Homebrew" contest where the winner's entry will be programmed by an expert team of programmers?

*Do you think Pong should become an official Olympic sport?

*Where do you want Atari Age to concentrate their energies regarding their store?

First off, Good one! Second, what system? I love surfing on the lynx, but the BMX on the 2600 is the one I play most.

How 'bout this:

Why do you like classic games?

-Nostalga (cant spell)

-Fun and simple

- (most) are cheap

-can be played for short periods of time

Or, this:

Other than home video games, where do you feel Atari most succeded:

Arcades

Home Computers

Or:

Which do you think is the better computer:

XE

ST

800

TT

What Parker Brothers Bankswitched game would you most like to see converted into F6?

:)

How about a few rarer ones like Q*bert's Qubes or Mr. Do!'s Castle?

BTW:  F6 means standard Atari bankswitching, thus being able to make new carts of the games using currently available boards.
