CPUWIZ
Where did you hear about this? Old story, proto was unfortunately lost. I got my Frankensteins Monster proto from the guy who discovered it in the first place. He bought it in a "hole in the wall" kind of shop a loooong time ago for next to nothing. http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/t...ainsawproto.htm

bond007pr
I hope that the owner also dumps the ROM for "good luck charlie brown",as I'm shure the guys here at Atari Age could develop the game a bit further and could come up with a nice game. tantone56
It didnt really look like that good of a game. Still though it would be cool if it turned up oneday but I think it's doubtful.
Saikyo
Sorry this post is a bit late but has anyone noticed how the unreleased version seems extremely similar to Pengo?
bjk7382
has anyone noticed how the unreleased version seems extremely similar to Pengo? Not really. On the atariprotos review it says that you create blocks two at a time with the first ones dissapearing as you lay them, all the while trying to surround enemies that are shooting at you. Doesn't involve sliding blocks at all
MegaManFan
Alright everybody. It's me, horror_blood. I was going to make a Splatterhouse for Atari but gave up. Anyway, here is some new info! You know Wizard Video Games amazing masterpiece for the 2600 called The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, based on a movie of the same name from 1974? Well, in it you played as Leatherface and killed people with a chainsaw. But get this, there was a prototype before that where you played as Leatherface and used rainbow blocks to trap a victim who had a gun. Who here thinks that this sounds suspiciously like Squeeze Box besides me?

Tempest
I really wish we knew who got the prototype. It's probably sitting on some dweeb's shelf somewhere as part of his TCM collection... Tempest
tantone56
the website said the game consisted of you playing the good guy trying to shoot leatherface. though I still think the released verson is probally better
