Dan Iacovelli
About the only thing we'll be missing out of networked Atari systems is a battlesphere network of Jaguars like we had as Jagfest in 2001. I can confirm that Battlesphere will be networked this year in the jagfest section mind you it won't be like 2k1 (10 systems) but it will have small network working. thanks to matt baker and my self. we will also have hugh Lynx display as well thanks to Tom L. Dan Iacovelli
didn't you get the e-mail from Tom L, he told me that he was bringing afew more tvs as well (one of which I will be using so I son't have to bring the 12 incher I brought last year)
Retro Rogue
Besides Lynx networks, don't forget we'll be having the original GenCon Midi-Maze display of networked ST's as well! I want to see a networked 8-bit Midi Maze display. That would be neat. Tempest Well, if Mark (or anyone) has a couple of Atari 8bits with the needed equipment, we'd be happy to have a small 8 bit midi-maze display right next to the 16 bit one in the computer/lan room. Tempest
Actually I think I read somewhere that you can network the two versions together. This seems really far fetched, but does anyone know if it's true? Tempest
Room 34
Sorry to take this thread back on-topic ... I just wanted to announce that I probably will be there. I am looking forward to it! I have never been to a classic gaming event before (except arcade auctions, which of course are a different beast).

Should introduce myself, i guess, i am Kamino, i run the WVGCA over at http://home.wi.rr.com/wvgca ...really, check it out over there. It's small as of now but i'm hoping a few more people will check it out in the time that surrounds MGC
Shortly
I'll try to attend. Looks like the casino thing ain't gonna happen. The one problem we're running up against is that my son is going in for surgery on the monday after.

I'm not sure about show specials, but you won't have to pay for shipping and you get to try out the games at the show to see whether or not you like them. The homebrew games are already fairly inexpensive (IMHO) given how much work goes into making a single cart, as well as the production values of the label and manual (and box, for those that include boxes). ..Al
GrandviewCoin
Is there going to be a public trading area where we might disperse with some of the dupes we all have in our collections? Daniel
goatdan
The Sheraton is going to open up an entire lounge area where people will be free to sit down and trade their games, as long as you do it without taking up the whole hallway We're working on opening some space outside that could be used too if the weather is nice. But you need to sign up in advance to get in! ..Al

goatdan
So everyone knows... we have sold out of another block of rooms. I am going to try to attempt to open more momentarily. Please wait to book rooms so I can get everyone the MGC rate. Sorry about that, and thanks again! See ya all at the party!
goatdan
We have rooms again, well... We should after the Sheraton Web site stops crashing. There is also a special where you can get your room for $85.00 through the Web site without going through us. You have to pay immediately and you do not have any ability to change your reservations, so I don't know if it is that good of a deal at only $4.00 off the regular price. Thanks again everyone for helping us sell out of two room blocks! Just 17 more days!
Dan Iacovelli
yeah I noticed that some of prices was less, but I figured to go the MGC way (since it's only going be day stay for me)
Tempest
Anyone else getting this error? There is a problem with the group block you?ve requested. It is either not available for those dates, past the cut-off date to make reservations for a group block, or not available at this hotel. Please verify that you have entered everything correctly. Tempest
Tempest
Ok I figured it out. You can book the rooms form Friday through Sunday, but not Monday. So does that mean we have to check out Sunday? Tempest
goatdan
Ah, sorry. You can get a room for Sunday/Monday too, but it isn't included in the same block as the Midwest Gaming Classic rooms. You *should* still be able to get the same rate if you call the hotel, but I can't guarantee it.
